Rather than relying on spatial gestures or decorative layering, the renovation commits to a small number of high-quality materials and allows their character to define each space. The living areas are anchored by flooring and wall finishes with genuine tactile presence u2014 surfaces that reward close attention and improve with age. Joinery throughout the house is crafted to the same standard, using materials that are consistent with the overall palette rather than selected separately for each room. The kitchen is finished in a way that is both practical and aesthetically serious u2014 durable surfaces that complement the material vocabulary of the rest of the home. Bedrooms carry the warmth of the shared spaces into a quieter register, using the same palette at a reduced intensity. Lighting is designed to reveal material quality rather than substitute for it. The result is a home in which the quality of making is always present.
Folded Grid House is a landed Terrace project defined by geometric precision and structured spatial planning. The design language is rooted in a grid system, expressed through both architectural form and interior detailing.
The fau00e7ade introduces a strong visual rhythm, where lines and planes are layered to create depth. This structured approach continues into the interior, where walls, ceilings, and built-in elements align with a consistent geometric logic.
In the main living area, the grid concept is softened through material choices and lighting. While the structure remains clear, the space feels balanced rather than rigid.
The kitchen integrates seamlessly into this system, with cabinetry and surfaces aligned to maintain visual order. Functional elements are concealed where possible to preserve the clean geometry.
Bedrooms adapt the grid language into a more subtle expression, allowing comfort and usability to take priority while still maintaining overall consistency.
