The material palette draws on a limited selection of honest materials u2014 stone, timber, and plaster used in a way that emphasises texture over ornamentation. The ground floor is arranged for openness and connection, with the living and dining areas flowing toward the garden without the spatial hierarchy becoming rigid. Built-in joinery is designed to integrate with the architecture of the house rather than sit against it, ensuring storage and utility elements do not interrupt the spatial intention. The upper floors are quieter in character, with bedrooms treated as genuinely private retreats rather than extensions of the more active ground level. Materials are carried through in a simplified form so the house reads as a single piece of work. The result is a home that has a clear point of view without being difficult to live in.
